Size guide

Our pieces come from a small group of makers, so sizing is labelled differently across the edit. Find your measurements once, then use the chart to translate them into whichever system a piece uses.

Always read the fit note on the product page. A stretch jersey dress and a boned corset in the same size will not feel the same.

How to measure bust, waist and hips

Find your size

These are body measurements, not garment measurements. If two of your numbers land in one size and one lands in the next, go with the size that matches your largest measurement.

Some pieces are labelled in combined sizes such as XXS/XS or S/M. These run across two sizes — if you sit at the top of the range, take the next one up.

Length

Every product page lists a length in centimetres, measured one of two ways. Our models are between 170 and 176 cm — if you are shorter, a mini will sit lower and a maxi may need heels.

Mini sits around 78 to 88 cm, mid-thigh on a 172 cm frame. Midi runs 105 to 120 cm, between the knee and mid-calf. Maxi starts at 135 cm and is cut to sweep the floor with heels.

How each fabric fits

This is where most sizing mistakes happen. The same measurement feels different depending on what the piece is made of.

Stretch jersey, slinky, bandage

These mould to the body and give in every direction. Take your true size. Sizing up creates gaping at the bust and a loose waist.

Between two sizes, go down — the fabric will find you.

Corset, boned, structured

Little to no give. The bust is cupped and fixed, so your bust measurement decides the size, not your waist.

Between two sizes, take the larger one. A corset that will not zip cannot be fixed.

Mesh, chiffon, satin

Woven fabrics with almost no stretch. They drape rather than cling, so the fit relies entirely on the cut.

Between two sizes, take the larger one. Satin shows every pull line when it is tight.

Knit and modal

Soft, forgiving, and they relax slightly with wear. Take your true size — sizing up leaves them shapeless after a few hours.

If you are a D cup or above

Cupped and corseted pieces are cut for a B to C cup. If your bust at its fullest is more than 12 cm larger than your underbust, size up on those styles and expect the waist to sit slightly loose.

Stretch and draped styles are not affected — take your usual size.

Still not sure
